While in Victoria Claudette visited her favorite garden. Butchart Gardens is a National Historic Site of Canada. There, you’ll find fragments of the original cement plant where it was built and millions of flowers. The Rose Garden is home to 280 varieties, and 2500 rose plants. It is lush, romantic, and incredibly beautiful… kind of like Claudette.

Claudette loves roses for many reasons. Roses smell fabulous and are thus often used in perfume and beauty products. Rosewater has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that can help soothe irritation and hydrate your skin. But, most importantly, they remind her of the saying, “stop and smell the roses.”

We all need to appreciate and recognize the source of the goodness in our lives. Claudette always tries to take the time to recognize the daily moments that bring joy and really see what causes that emotion. She tries to take time out of her busy schedule to enjoy and fully appreciate the beauty of life, after all it is the little things in life that fulfill our souls to the deepest level.

Stopping to smell the roses helps you slow down. As you stop to smell the roses, you realize there are other areas in your life where you could slow down to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

And Claudette is wearing her golden pearls, the largest and most cherished pearls in the world.
